Who we are
The Whiskey Jack Nordic Ski Club was established in the early 1980’s when the BC Winter Games came to Fort St. John. With some funding they created a basic layout of trails, two narrow loops, that intersected in two spots. These trails served skiers very well for years until the early 2000’s when a new executive decided to start the process to develop the trails that were more to ski industry standards. Today we have a fabulous network of trails for a variety of skill levels!
Join us on Saturday, February 16 at Beatton Park Fun for all ages. This cross country ski event is free as part of the High on Ice Winter Fest! 1 pm – Registration will open. EVERYONE MUST REGISTER. 2 pm – Loppet starts. Rentals will be available on site that day.
Ladies night out (but men welcome too), skiing the trails by moonlight and headlamps! Beatton Provincial Park trails Tuesdays, 7 pm start to 8 pm finish approx. The Club received approval from BC Parks to develop a stadium area (wide level area for starting and finishing races and also for holding ski lessons).
